Monthly posting ledgers, 1858-1897.

The series consists of the general ledger of the Treasurer's Office containing the monthly summary postings from journals and daybooks from 1858 to 1897. The series is missing the volumes from 1865 to 1873. Different accounts include revenue, special sinking fund and interest tax, licenses, postmortem examinations, seminary fund, Indian hostilities of 1849, and general convention. The monthly postings provide the date of posting, the reason for the receipt or disbursement of money, and the amount of the transaction. Monthly totals of receipts and disbursements are calculated.
